As I Stand Staring

I don't want to make superficial Poetry.
 Especially,
if the
illusions,
idioms,
and similes
don't capture or express my life experiences.
 Poetry is a platform.
A means to an end;
like
a wood chopper uses an axe to chop down a tree,
I aim
to use my Poetry
to create.
To articulate and express
poignant ideas,
visions, and sentiments.
...
I seek and work toward expressing a deeper human consciousness,
even if the representation is simple and crude.
...
The goal is to capture and express life better than other art forms can.
...
The end is the product,
the means is the time,
effort,
emotion,
vocalization,
will and wit.
